Of course, you still have all the young activists who organized for Obama's campaign and are likely still doing some sort of grassroots campaigning for a number of causes (environmental, racial equality, etc.), but it also seems that this is not as strong as was the campaign for Obama...though it is likely still stronger than before Obama's campaign, so Obama's grassroots campaign has indeed empowered youth organizers to organize more.

I also feel that Obama backing the expansion of Americorps (from 75,000 volunteers to 250,000) will naturally engage young persons to be apart of the local governing process through their work.

Re: How will Obama now use his Internet army?

It has nothing to do with generations, Don, but everything to do with the status quo. As Howard Dean and Jim Duncan agreed when talking to the National Press Club on Nov. 5, carried live on C-SPAN, technology will only become more ubiquitous. Dean spoke of the power of YouTube, due to his earlier use of Dean TV. And Duncan, the RNC chair, said he uses a Kindle.

I don't think the millennials or any other generation will force Obama to do anything; one only needs to run a Google search on "Government 2.0" (as Newsweek uses) to see the conversations and ideas from all digital-connected generations.

I do agree with your take. Moulitsas sounds disconnected.
